  **第一項**  委員長、委員及び政令で定める公正取引委員会の職員は、在任中、次の各号のいずれかに該当する行為をすることができない。

  The Chair, Commissioners, and staff members of the Japan Fair Trade Commission prescribed by Cabinet Order may not engage in any of the following acts while they are in office:

    **一**  国会若しくは地方公共団体の議会の議員となり、又は積極的に政治運動をすること。

    becoming a member of the Diet or of the council of a local public entity, or actively engaging in political activities;

    **二**  内閣総理大臣の許可のある場合を除くほか、報酬のある他の職務に従事すること。
